Mpaka wa Kenya na Somalia utafunguliwa tena kwa awamu tofauti ndani ya siku 90 zijazo, kuanzia leo.
Waziri wa Mambo ya Ndani Kithure Kindiki amesema mpaka wa Mandera-Bulahawa utafunguliwa katika muda wa siku 30 zijazo.

Sehemu ya pili ya mpaka, ambayo ni Liboi-Harahar-Dobley upande wa Somalia itafunguliwa ndani ya siku 60 kutoka sasa. Kindiki aliongeza kuwa mpaka wa Kiunga-Ras Kamboni huko Lamu utafunguliwa kwa angalau siku 90 kuanzia leo.
Aliongeza kuwa serikali inachunguza uwezekano wa kuongeza sehemu ya nne ya mpaka ndani ya Somalia kutoka upande wa Kenya katika Kaunti ya Wajir.
Alikuwa akizungumza baada ya mkutano na mwenzake wa Somalia Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali, Waziri wa Ulinzi Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur na Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje Abshir Omar Jama.
Mkutano huo ulihudhuriwa pia na Waziri wa Ulinzi Aden Duale na maafisa wengine wakuu serikalini.
