Rais William Ruto amemteua Amin Ibrahim Mohammed kama mkurugenzi mpya wa idara ya DCI majuma matatu baada ya George Kinoti kujiuzulu kutoka kwa wadhfa huo.Mohammed alikuwa miongoni mwa watu watatu waliochaguliwa baada ya tume ya huduma kwa polisi NPS kuwahojiwa watu kumi siku ya jumanne.

Kabla ya uteuzi wake,Mohammed alikuwa akihudumu kama mkurugenzi wa idara ya masuala ya ndani katika tume ya NPS.
Mr Mohamed, who previously served as the Director of the Internal Affairs Unit of the National Police Service, takes over from Mr George Kinoti who resigned last month.
The appointment of the new DCI Director is contained in Gazette No. 213 of October 14th, 2022.
